FAIRVIEW ELEMENTARY AND WINFIELD ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: TENNESSEE 2022-2023 REWARD SCHOOLS
Posted on 02/26/2024

Each year, schools and their districts are eligible for designations based on their overall performance across indicators that are essential to student success.

On February 19, 2024, the Tennessee Department of Education announced that Scott County has two schools recognized as Tennessee Reward Schools. Fairview Elementary School is designated as a Reward school for the second consecutive year, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, and Winfield Elementary School is designated as a Reward school for 2022-2023.

Reward status is the top state distinction a public school can earn in Tennessee. Schools are recognized as a Reward school when they demonstrate high levels of performance and/or improvement in performance by meeting objectives across performance indicators and student groups. It is recognition for outstanding student success on achievement and growth.

“It is great to see two of our schools recognized for their performance and progress in being among the top five percent of schools in the state,” said Director of Schools Bill Hall. “This recognition is reflective of the hard work happening in our classrooms, the excellent work that our teachers, staff, and students are doing, and the support of our community. I applaud them for their focus on student learning and making sure each student has a pathway for success.” This recognition is confirmation of the outstanding work going on across the school district.

Scott County Schools is recognized as “Advancing” in Accountability Data for 2022-2023, which is one step up from the designation of “Satisfactory” last year. For additional information, visit our website at https://www.scottcounty.net/.
