The goal of Scott County Schools is to create a foundation of academic success in a secure and demanding academic environment where standards are high and learning is prioritized because education is a lifelong undertaking.

We employ data-driven teaching strategies that have been shown to raise student accomplishment. A highly effective teacher must instruct and challenge every student, so professional development activities must be developed based on staff needs assessments.

The Tennessee Academic Standards are used by Scott County Schools in kindergarten through twelfth grade. A uniform set of expectations for what students will know and be able to do at the conclusion of a grade for each subject area is provided by the Tennessee Academic Standards. The information and abilities a student needs to thrive in post-secondary courses and/or employment are at the heart of our state's standards.
