As basketball season is upon us for Scott High School and our middle schools, The TSSAA/TMSAA has placed the following guidelines for us to have a successful season. Please click the read more button below to view the full list.
-
Attendance is limited to 1/3 capacity. For example, if a school gym seats 600 maximum capacity, then the maximum number of tickets sold is 200. This includes both home and visiting teams combined.
-
Players, coaches, and home cheerleaders are not included in the number of allowed in the gymnasium. There are separate guidelines which restrict these roles.
-
Mask/face coverings and temperature checks are required for entry and should be worn if social distancing cannot be maintained
-
The reduced number of tickets sold per game has created a lot of concerns for our schools. To follow the strict seating guidelines, we do not believe that we can honor our usual passes; school employee badges or senior citizens passes. We truly hate this, and it was not an easy decision, but for now it needs to be done.
-
Each school will reserve a limited number of tickets for the visiting school and will communicate with the visiting school in advance regarding exact numbers and procedures.
-
Presale/first purchase options for tickets will be given to the players parents.
-
If anyone needs additional information concerning tickets or game policies please contact the Principal of each school.
We know this is a difficult situation for everyone, but our focus is to do our very best to have a full basketball season for our student athletes in the safest way possible.
Thank you
